An influx of mysterious power coming from someplace abandoned in Gensokyo has appeared. This abandoned area looks like it came from the future…so Reimu and Marisa are here to investigate this out-of-place artifact, while a bunch of others race to get there too.
"Touhou Gyaku-Tokiwatari ~ Legendary Out-of-Place World" is a Touhou Project boss rush fan game with 50 new characters and appearances of familiar faces from previous works by Lucy LostWord. As part of the "LostWord Project" series, it is the successor to the canceled "Spell Card Fantasy" and exists within the same universe as "Asylum of Interconnected Temptations".
Go through different stages and battle a horde of characters while facing against the Spell Cards they'll launch at you! Let's see who can get to the culprit first and what they'll ask out of them!
Fan game by Lucy LostWord and is expected to release in the first half of 2026, likely after the release of "Wonderful Video Game Act 5" if everything goes well. Developed with LuaSTG. If for some reason it doesn't become a fan game, I will instead keep it as a fan game concept.
